Hey, Book Lover!
Have you ever considered that many of your favorite authors are, quite possibly, introverts?
This makes their book marketing job very difficult. Which is sad for book lovers who may never find their work, if the author burns out during the book marketing phase.
As a book lover, what can you do to help your favorite introverted author out? This little series gives you ideas to try.
Ten ways, ten days.
Day 5: Cuppa
One of the most fun projects we ever helped an author host was The 100 Coffee Shops project. (Great project name, but that’s a lot of coffee shops! Only non-introverted authors should try this. :) )
That said, as a book lover, you are only going to think about one coffee shop where you could share a book you’ve loved, by an author you really appreciate.
(If you are more energetic than your beloved author, of course you could think about more coffee shops!)
We found that most coffee shops were quite happy to receive a book that fit their vibe—and to know that their shop would be shared on socials via a picture of that book in their shop.
Here’s one that
shared in Pittsburgh. And here’s one that
shared in West Virginia…And here’s one that
shared in Washington state…And here’s one that
shared with a most amazing coffee house in Peekskill, NY…As a bonus, you get to have coffee. Maybe with a treat to go with. And your favorite coffee shop gets a little love out in the world, at the same time one of your favorite authors does!
Final Tip
When you give the book to the coffee shop, why not take a picture and share it on socials? Then, be sure to tell your (introverted) author, so they can see and share your post (if they’re not feeling too burned out. 🙂)
That’s it for Day 5: Cuppa.
See you soon for Day 6!
