On April 8, we had the latest patron-exclusive meeting of The Creativity Café. It's such a joy to get together with others in the Tweetspeak community, to strengthen one another in creative living.
Thanks to Bethany Rohde, who warmly leads the café and brings flowers for us—and then creatively photographs them as a memento! Last month, she brought a bold cluster (we loved the purple!).
Here's a note from Bethany, after the latest gathering...

Hello Friends,
What a treat it was to hang out with you at the café! I enjoyed hearing you share a bit about your earlier writing explorations as well as delving into our current projects, side-by-side.
I recently listened to Anne Lamott's audiobook of Bird by Bird (again) and was struck by her ending. “Writing and reading decrease our sense of isolation . . . It's like singing on a boat during a terrible storm at sea. You can't stop the raging storm, but singing can change the hearts and spirits of the people who are together on that ship."
Yes! And I feel like this idea can also relate to the warmth of knowing we have a place to come back to together. A fireplace to gather around. A group with a shared intention. In our case, to encourage one another along on our creative journeys. Thank you again for adding your particular presence to The Creativity Café in April, and/or in other months!
Next time we meet, will mark the half-year point since the café's start! Anyone have any thoughts of what might be a fun (and easy!) way to nod to that? You can count on me to be sipping on my half-caff coffee (and perhaps, I'll bring some strawberries half-dipped in chocolate).
Looking forward to seeing any of you who can make it Tuesday, May 13th, at 7pm Eastern / 4pm Pacific.
Hoping you find more flowers along your path this month!
Warmly,
Bethany Rohde
